Over the years, many photographers often find a particular style they love and return to repeatedly, almost as if it becomes a part of their artistic identity. For me, that style is undoubtedly fine art photography, a mesmerizing approach that captures emotions in a profoundly unique and striking way. Fine art portraits are truly timeless pieces and reflect the authentic character of the subject with remarkable clarity and depth. Years ago, I attended a wildlife photography course as the youngest member, surrounded by seasoned photographers. I watched the instructor carefully set up her camera, skillfully capturing a stunning image of a flower in its natural splendor. While I enjoyed that day immensely, I didn’t feel it was my destined path. Later, I took a portrait photography course and embraced it, loving every moment. After taking thousands of pictures and exploring different techniques, I yearned to create something beyond the typical bright smiles we usually see in portraits; I aimed to produce extraordinary fine art images that resonate on a deeper level.

A fine art image is not just a simple photograph; it is a true work of art, meticulously crafted with intention and creativity. My approach focuses on using complementary colors—usually a harmonious combination of three or four—to beautifully highlight your unique expression and inner self in a captivating way. Fine art photography is my unyielding passion, and each image we create together is a genuine piece of art meant to be a cherished centerpiece in your home, treasured by your family for generations to come. Ultimately, fine art portraits are future family heirlooms, allowing the subject to appear vibrantly real and profoundly engaging when viewed up close, eliciting emotions that transcend time.

The style of photography I specialise in is a dramatic fine art portrait, We have a selection of outfits in various sizes. if you would like to have a portrait taken in maybe a victorian dress or a top hat we have many props including umbrellas and dried flowers that can add to the image. When you get in touch we will arrange a follow up call to go over wardrobe ideas and answer any questions you may have, if you would like a make up artist for hair and makeup this is not always necessary but some clients enjoy the experience of having a professional make up artist and hair stylist.

The images we get will be instantly shown on the monitor so you can see how amazing you look. The images are not edited at this stage so they will not be ready to take home just yet. A average shoot lasts around one hour but can go into 2 to 3 quite easily should you feel happy to proceed.

Upon completion we can review the images and you can feel free to decide on the images you would like to have edited, The charge of each edited image will be explained in detail on your consolation meeting prior to attending and after the shoot. We print all our work on site using museum grade paper which lasts for over 100 years. You are welcome to see the printing progress should you wish. Lucy specialise in children photography and she will work with you and discuss ideas on what kind of images you are looking for. Younger children under 6 will not be as willing to have their photo taken as an older child, with this In mins we suggest booking a mid morning shoot. We have a selection of pros for children and even Disney the background or on a smart speaker to keep them from losing interest. We also have a small garden area for them to use should they wish. Younger children tend to be interested for around 30 minutes maximum but we should be able to get some beautiful portraits in that time.

We also offer a onsite service for children photography in your home or a local park, this is sometimes easier as we can get the whole family involved and the children will be relaxed playing with mum and dad riding a bicycle or kicking a football providing beautiful times images. We ask to get to you around breakfast time so the children are relaxed and feel more at ease with us and our cameras.
